Glasses for iPhone · Yodel Code LLC · Last updated 20 August 2026

Glasses does not collect your data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it sends nothing about you anywhere.

What Glasses does with the camera

Glasses is a magnifier. It needs access to your camera in order to show you an enlarged live image, and it asks your permission the first time it runs. That video is processed on your device as it is displayed. It is not recorded, not stored and not transmitted.

Images you capture

If you freeze an image, Glasses can keep it in an image archive so you can look at it again later. Those images, and the small thumbnails made for the archive, are stored in the app's own private storage on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere and no one else can read them. Deleting the app deletes them.

You can save an image to your photo library or send it to another app using the iOS share sheet. That only ever happens when you choose it, and where it goes is up to you. Glasses asks permission to add to your photo library for this, and cannot read the photos already in it.

Settings

Your preferences — image quality, whether to archive automatically, whether the light comes on — are stored on your device using the standard iOS settings mechanism. They never leave it.

The tip jar

Glasses is free. If you choose to leave a tip, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Yodel Code never sees your payment details. All Glasses keeps is a note on your own device recording which tip was given, so that your extended archive limit continues to work.

If you write to us

Settings has a link for sending feedback. Tapping it opens a message in your own mail app, already addressed to us — nothing is sent until you send it, and Glasses does not add anything to the message. If you do write, we will have your email address and whatever you chose to tell us. We use it to answer you and nothing else. We do not add you to any list and we do not pass it on.

No third parties

Glasses contains no third-party software development kits, no advertising or analytics libraries, and no crash reporting service. Nothing inside the app reports on how you use it. Glasses makes no network requests of its own; the only servers involved are Apple's, when you make a purchase or when you tap a link that opens the App Store.

Children

Glasses is suitable for anyone. Because it collects no personal information from anybody, it collects none from children either.

Your data rights

Requests to access, correct, export or delete personal data are usually answered by pointing at what a company holds about you. In this case there is nothing to point at: we hold no personal data about you. Everything Glasses creates stays on your device and is under your control, and removing the app removes it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
